Description
A high-quality natural product, recognisable by its yellow colour and straight supple quality,
without leaf remains or side shoots. The Bamboo Stick Tonkin of 8-10 mm diameter is often used to support trees, plants and flowers, but also for creative purposes in schools, associations, companies or in the home. Tonkin bamboo stick is beautifully straight and dimensionally stable and therefore has hardly any run-out over the entire length of the stick. Tonkin bamboo is thick-walled and therefore suitable for outdoor use, even in contact with the ground. Compared to the other Chinese bamboo species Moso, Tonkin bamboo sticks are slightly paler (whiter) in colour.

WORKING WITH BAMBOO
Bamboo canes can be connected in many different ways. Most techniques use rope and/or threaded rods, but more advanced methods such as the fish mouth connection or peg-hole connection are also possible. If you want to use screws to mount bamboo canes, it is best to pre-drill them to avoid cracks. Cutting bamboo is best done with a Japanese saw. This special bamboo saw has hybrid teeth for easy, fast and accurate trimming and mitre cuts. If you want to place bamboo canes in the ground, we recommend applying Bamboo Soil Protector to the part that goes into the ground. This special black coating preserves the bamboo and protects against wood rot.
