Citrus auratifolia 'lime' also called lime tree gives a lovely sweet fragrance during flowering on the patio or balcony. It is an easy plant and fruits well. Treat the lime as a real tub plant, which means it should be moved indoors in winter in a greenhouse or frost-free outside greenhouse. In a greenhouse, this plant blooms almost all year round. It can be pruned back in September, leaving 1/3 of the shoots in place to keep the plant full.
