Miscanthus sinensis 'Gracillimus' is a beautiful ornamental grass that is especially appreciated for its elegant growth form. The graceful, green leaves with a white midrib hang gracefully downwards. When mature, Miscanthus sinensis 'Gracillimus' reaches a height of between 175 and 200 cm.
This ornamental grass only blooms after a warm summer, and when it does, beautiful beige flower plumes appear in October-November.
The ideal location for Miscanthus sinensis 'Gracillimus' is sunny, but the grass also tolerates some shade. It thrives best in a moist, humus-rich soil.
This ornamental grass grows in a clump and will not quickly spread. It looks great as a solitary plant, for example in the corner of a border. The long, narrow leaves with white veins hang elegantly over and give a special appearance, especially when they are covered with frost or a layer of snow in the winter.
