The Nandina domestica 'Firepower', also known as Heavenly Bamboo, is a striking and versatile evergreen shrub. Although the name suggests it is a type of bamboo, it is not and will not spread. The set contains two plants, each in a 12 cm pot and with a height of approximately 35 cm.
Features:
- Colorful leaf: The foliage of 'Firepower' varies throughout the seasons, with colours changing from vibrant red and pink in spring, to yellow and green in summer, and finally a mix of red, orange and green in autumn and winter. These dynamic colour gradations make the plant a real eye-catcher.
- Flowering and fruits: In summer, Nandina domestica 'Firepower' produces delicate white flowers, which are followed by decorative red berries later in the season. These berries often remain visible well into winter, providing a lasting decorative effect.
- Growth and maintenance: This plant grows upright to bushy and eventually reaches a height of about 50 cm. The Nandina 'Firepower' is very drought resistant and can be planted in both full sun and partial shade.
