Rhododendron 'Germania' is a beautiful and slow-growing leafy plant with dark pink flowers in May and early June. This plant thrives best in semi-shade or sun and likes humus-rich acidic (forest) soil. You do not need to prune Rhododendron 'Germania', but picking spent flowers promotes continued growth. If necessary, you can prune the plant back to the old wood, but in that case you will have no flowers the first year. With its maximum height and width of 1.5 m, this Rhododendron fits perfectly in most gardens. Rhododendron 'Germania' is a strong plant that is excellent as a hedge plant and looks great combined with other shrubs. You can also place this garden plant in a large pot on the balcony or terrace.
