Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Fat Domino', better known as Knotweed, is a cheerful and strong perennial that brightens up your garden from July to November with thick, dark pink-red flower spikes. It grows about 140 cm tall, so perfect for placing at the back of a border where it provides a nice vertical accent. Its long flowering period and full bloom make it a favourite with insects such as bees and butterflies, and the nice thing is: snails stay away from it!
