Paeonia lactiflora 'Sarah Bernhardt', also known as the Peony 'Sarah Bernhardt', is a beautiful perennial with lush, light pink filled flowers. During the flowering period in May-June this peony reaches a height of 80-100 cm. Ideally placed in the sun or light shade, this plant is also an excellent choice as a cut flower.
For maintenance, it is advisable to cut the old stems deeply in the autumn. Plant Paeonias preferably in the autumn, between September and October, because they do not flower well when they are moved. Propagation can take place by root cuttings and by dividing large plants.
In addition to providing aesthetic pleasure, this peony also offers a beautiful red autumn leaf colour, making it an asset to any garden.
