Beschrijving
Iris Sibirica 'Sparkling Rose', also called Siberian lis, is an easy perennial with lilac-pink flowers accented with white and yellow. It flowers in June and July and grows 70 to 100 cm tall. The blue-green leaves remain beautiful until late autumn, and black-brown seed pods appear after flowering. The flowers are also good as cut flowers.
This iris grows fine in dry or moist soil, but likes a slightly wetter spot most, such as near a pond's edge. In winter, the leaves die off - then cut them back to the ground, and in spring it grows out again. A simple plant with a fun colour!
