Iris sibirica 'Silver Edge', also called Beardless Iris, is an easy plant with pretty blue flowers that have a silvery-white edge and a yellow spot. It flowers from June to July and grows about 90 cm tall. The grassy, blue-green leaves remain beautiful until autumn, and black-brown seed pods appear after flowering.
This iris likes semi-shade or sun, for example along a pond edge or in a pot, and grows well in almost any garden in soil that is not too dry. It is strong, tolerates cold down to -25 degrees and produces nice cut flowers. A simple and elegant choice for your border!
