Heuchera 'Melting Fire', also known as Purple Bellflower, is an easy perennial with dark burgundy leaves that wave nicely at the edges. Between June and August, small white-pink flowers appear on long, thin red stems, which are also good as cut flowers. The plant grows 40-50 cm tall (with flowers) and the leaves remain all year round, even in winter.
It grows best in semi-shade in cool, moist soil that is well-watered - avoid full sun and dry, poor soil. Perfect as a ground cover or to add some colour to a border. Cut it short after winter for a fresh start. A simple plant with a beautiful look!
