This is a bushy climbing Clematis, ideal for the garden border but also as a patio plant or in a rock garden. Blooms profusely in June to September with violet-coloured flowers, and grows 3 metres high. Position: sun/semi shade. Well-drained fertile soil. Hardy. Clematis 'Violette' is a non-aggressive climber. You can lead this Clematis against a wall or over a pergola or, for example, against a sturdy fence or climbing frame.
