Brunnera macrophylla 'Silver Spear', also called Caucasian forget-me-not, is an easy plant with silver-grey leaves that are a little whiter than those of 'Jack Frost'. The leaves have green veins, a pointed tip and a hairy, heart-shaped look. In March to May, it blooms with small, blue flowers resembling forget-me-nots. It grows 20 to 50 cm high and grows in a neat clump.
Place it in semi-shade or shade in cool, moist soil that is well-watered. It does not like bright sun or strong winds. Are the leaves turning ugly? Cut it off and fresh new leaves will come back. This plant is perfect as a ground cover and gives your garden a nice, silver touch!
